I am a wife, mother, artist and designer living in Milwaukee. I am also a collector of vintage and discarded items, driven from a place deep within to give them new life through my art.
I work in a variety of materials, but primarily acrylic paint and collage on wood, paper, book covers and canvas. Recently, my work has developed a visual rhythm between colors, drips and markings, influenced by organic shapes and patterns.
Mostly however, I create to release myself from the daily constraints and structures of critical thinking, and embrace the Japanese concept of wabisabi—an aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.
